“Fools show their annoyance at once, but the prudent overlook an insult.” Proverbs 12:16

Social media makes it easy for us to react. It gives the quick access to publish our expressions. Nothing can hold people back.

A foolish man is quick to express his anger. The words of his mouth and fingers easily entangle him in trouble. When a foolish man is insulted, he has no self-control. He easily publishes his disappointments.

The wise, on the other hand, lets the matter cool down. He is not quick to react. He contemplates. He goes to solitude first. He doesn’t decide based on passions. He’s not making curses when he is angry, nor promises when he’s happy. A clever man conceals his anger and resentment. He knows how to handle it the right way.

Much better is we do good to those who insult us. This will set us free.
