Maybe life seems to be like a routine now. But surely for everyone, there will be days that will come and will show up as a grand turning point in a matter of life and death situation. How will you respond? What will you ask for? What could save your life?

Turning points are times that may come as a crossroad where we make a very crucial decision- it could be about a calling or a career in life, about a lifetime partner, or about our relationship with God. It could also come as a tough trial or temptation.

Times like these could be a lead to a good success or miserable failure. One move could mean a lot. One step could result to a great blessing, or a great regret.

If it is a temptation, it might appear as a severe affliction of your ego, a grave insult in front of the public or a friend who turned to be a traitor. If it comes as a trial, it could be a death of a loved one, a sudden heartbreak, a short notice of migration or a career shift. Such things that come, come not in simple terms but with a great demand of your energy and attention.

Here is a Bible reminder that can help save your life: “But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” -James 1:5 NASB

The word “ask” there is with a profound and deep counterpart. It is to ask earnestly, to beg, to call, to crave for, to sincerely desire, to require for wisdom. When such situations come, what we need is the wisdom to go through them, the skill to overcome, the way to arrive at the goal. And its only source is God.

Let us beg from God whenever these times come. May we never forget, may the Spirit bring us to this remembrance that God gives generously to those who ask. Just beg.
